It’s My Birthday — Delete your account
How to delete your account and the data attached to it.
Delete it from inside the app
Open the Account tab, tap your profile, then Delete Account and confirm. This is immediate and needs no reply from us.
If you are asked to sign in again first, that is the account system confirming it is really you — sign in and tap Delete Account again.
If you can no longer sign in
Email us from the address on the account and we will delete it for you.

Please put “delete my account” in the subject. We action these within 30 days, and usually within a few days.
What deletion removes
- Your account and sign-in details.
- Your own birthday, and every birthday you saved for other people.
- Your saved runs, picks, notes and reminder settings.
- Any feedback or issue reports tied to your account.
Reminders scheduled on your device are cancelled at the same time.
What we keep, and why
Anonymous, aggregated usage counts that are no longer linked to you stay in our analytics — they cannot be traced back to a deleted account. We may also retain records we are legally required to keep, for no longer than the law requires.
Deletion is permanent. There is no undo, and we cannot restore a deleted account or the birthdays that were saved on it.
Deleting the app is not the same thing
Uninstalling removes the app from your device but leaves your account on our servers. Use one of the two routes above to delete the account itself.
